Har koi apni hi awaz se kanp uthata hai
har koi apne hi saye se hirasan jana

Jis ko dekho wahi zanjir-ba-pa lagta hai
shahar ka shahar hua dakhil-e-zindan jana

Ab tera zikr bhi shayad hi gazal main aye
aur se aur hua dard ka unwan jana

Hum ki ruthi hui rut ko bhi mana lete the
hum ne dekha hi na tha mausam-e-hijran jana

Hosh aya to sabhi khwab the reza-reza
jaise udate huye auraq-e-pareshan jana
