Umedoon k phool khile hain

Aas ki kaliyan chatki hain

Barsoon baad use dekha toh

Aankheen kis ne jhapki hain

Us ne apne khat main muj ko

Kitne dard se likha hai

Ab toh gaoun aya karna

Ab toh sarkeen paki hain

Jane kis ko kahan mile they

Koun kahan par bichra tha

Ham ne asi sari yadeen

Nisaan taak par rakhi hain

Kache dhagon ka bandhan ho

Ya zanjereen sone ki

Dil jazboon se khali hoon

To sab tatbereen kachi hain

Talkhiyaan bantney walon say bhi

Hamain naheen shikwa "Asim "

Kaisi kaisi zehreen ham ne

Amrat jaan k chakhi hain
