SQL DBA

Major Responsibilities

· Database application development in a SQL server environment

· SQL Server system installation and configuration

· Database system migration, upgrade and patching

· Data warehouse process design and implementation (ETL processes)

· Production database support in a 24x7 environment

· Monitoring database backup processes and verify production backups

· Troubleshooting and resolving database related incidents

· Maintaining and troubleshooting current database processes

· Database deployments

· Work with business users and translate business requirements into technical specs

· Design and implement SSRS reports

Requirements:

· Minimum 4+ years' database administration and development experience in a SQL server environment

· Strong T-SQL skills

· Understanding data loading processes that deal with large volume of data

· Good database fundamentals and knowledge of SQL server internals

· Good SQL administration skills

· Understanding performance tuning and optimization

· .NET development experience is a plus

· Good knowledge of XML technology and import/export XML feed into/from databases

· Experience with SSAS and good MDX skills

· Ability to learn quickly

· Self-motivated

· Ability to solve problems under high pressure

· Experience with SQL 2000 to SQL 2012

· Bachelor's in computer science or related field
