Ashampoo Burning Studio 2012

Get $50 Ashampoo Burning Studio 2012 Free for the Next Five Hours

Ashampoo's paid version of their Burning Studio program rated highly in our recent app directory series for best disc burning app for Windows. It wasn't the first choice, as it normally costs a cool Ulysses S. Grant, but is available as a free download from The Download Crew's Giveaway site until 7PM EST tonight.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 2012 burns CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs, rips audio CDs, copies discs, can create autostart discs, creates and burns disc images (ISO, CUE/BIN and ASHDIS formats), erase rewritable discs, and comes with tools to create and print disc covers, labels and booklets.

As the developer notes, the main limitation of the program is in creating movie discs.

Burning Studio 2012 can create a video DVD or Blu-ray disc if you have a prepared folder (that is, one with all the necessary VOB, IFO and BUP files, for instance). But it can't import movie clips and create a video DVD from scratch; if you need that functionality you'll have to look elsewhere.

Two caveats—you'll need to activate the software within the time limit (just run the .exe to be directed to the registration page for your pro license key) and if you do the standard installation instead of the custom installation the program will install toolbars, redirect your homepage, etc.

If you're in need of a powerful, full featured disc burning suite for Windows look no further, at least until 7pm EST tonight.

UPDATE: The deal has been extended another 24 hours. Groovy.
